Noisy Silence

Let's clear out the silence first.
Sadly, the update on our benefit for the Rain City Rock Camp for Girls is that the show has been postponed. A few things came up, most important being that the camp will be having their own fundraising show this autumn. We didn't want to have a show meant to help them but accidentally water down their audience size and end up hurting them. That just means you'll have something other than more sunlight to look forward to in the Spring. Hurrah! (And we urge you to keep an eye on their site so you can catch their show this autumn.)
Also, in the land of silence, there were no shows in September. Other bands and life commitments have kept folks busy, and we had some noise to make. Remember, this post is noisy silence.
We might have been busy in ways that kept us off the stage, but we weren't neglecting Varnish!
Making noise for your ears with:
- Two new songs almost ready to share! They're quite different from each other, and both make us happy. We hope they'll do the same for you.
- More online radio play. A handful of online stations have been showing us love. Keep an eye on our Facebook, ReverbNation, or Twitter pages to see when someone new adds us to their rotation.
- Pulling together a musical release...Oh, we don't want to say too much, but keep an eye on things. Cos we anticipate goodness for you soon!
And those of you watching our sites know that we've also had "noise" for your eyes. (As usual, you can see that same list over to the right.) We're almost done catching up on a backlog of show pictures. (Though you shouldn't let that stop you from sending us pics of our shows, past or future, if you haven't done that yet.) And we've been posting a new little something every weekend as well. We'll slow down soon (hope you've enjoyed the glut!), but will continue to post at least a blog and a vlog each month.
We hope you'll help us keep entertaining you, though. Have pictures to share from shows? Have ideas for blog content or vlog content? Have things you want to see on the site? Anything like that? Send it our way! We're also continually curious about things like what songs you think we should cover, how you describe our music to your friends, and what more we can do to keep you happy and in love with us. This relationship is important, don't you think?
Now, back to doing that thing we do. Keep some light in your heart and music in your head!
